Rishi Sunak announced in the budget today that the stamp duty holiday will be extended until the end of June 2021. This means that savings of £15,000 on UK property purchases over £500,000 in value will continue.
The £500,000 threshold will fall to £250,000 from the end of July 2021 until the end of September 2021, allowing a savings of £7,500 on all property purchases over £500,000 during that period.
Thereafter stamp duty will return to normal.
