UK Property Stamp Duty Due to be Extended

    Thursday, March 18, 2021

Rishi Sunak made a stamp duty holiday on UK property transactions one of the main incentives to keep the residential property market going over the past few months.  This incentive was brought in one year ago and results in savings of approximately £15,000 on newly purchased residential property transactions.

He is now set to announce an extension of this plan from when it finishes on March 31st 2021.

This announcement can be expected on March 3 when Rishi Sunak announces his budget.

It is anticipated that he will extend the stamp duty holiday until the end of June 2021.
